Skilling / An introduction to relics
« on: June 29, 2021, 02:13:10 AM »
What are relics?
Relics provide certain powerful bonuses to your character. You can compare them with perks. You'll unlock slots as you prestige but alternatively, $300+ donors get a 4th slot.

How do I get these relics?
Relics are locked behind tiers. Tiers are unlockable onto a certain prestige, going from tier 1 to 5. Each tier provides some powerful stuff regarding skilling, PvMing and utlity.

How do I activate them?
After prestiging, head over to Mac again and open the Relics interface. Here you can see the different tiers and click on the icon to see what they do.

You enable them by earning enough task points. Talk to Mac and check the location interface or do ::reliclocations for the tasks.

Unlockable by prestige:
Tier 1: Prestige 1&2
Tier 2: Prestige 3&4
Tier 3: Prestige 5&6
Tier 4: Prestige 7&8
Tier 5: Prestige 9&10

Bargainist and Infernal Aura seem good options here.

Double Trouble is a solid choice when grinding minigame or slayer points, where clue expert is nice if you can manage to save a stack of clues/caskets.

Combat Relics:
Mage - Seems a bit slow at the moment, wouldn't consider taking
Melee - Seems like the best option atm, considering mauls/spear speeds are very good vs their weaknesses. You'll also be using melee the most during prestiging with slayer etc, and it covers 3 combat skills.
Range - Middle ground, good on certain weapons

Respect your Elder on this tier is handy paired with Double Trouble if you need some slayer points for massive unlocks.

Hoarder is a very good 'fast-prestiging' option.
Mid/lategame PvMing becomes VERY nice with either The Pope or Power House.

Bosses Boss is your go-to lategame PvMing tool.
Specialist is nice with the special restoring on certain spec weps
Vampiric is a very nice tool paired with fast-hitting stuff like bp or melee with melee relic.

Aurelius' Quest Guide

Welcome boys and girls, since we currently have some working quests, I decided to make a video to tour you through some quests. Currently excluding Shield of Arrav

This guide shows you what to buy at the start of your fresh account to do the quests in Lumbridge, Draynor Village and Varrock.

Video guide if you just want to follow my path:
Quest guide

Buy the following items in the shop:
- Fish food
- Poison
- Shears
- Garlic
- Egg, milk, flour
- Hammer
- Spade

Ready? Teleport to lumbridge and head over to the cook. Talk to him to start the quest, then retrigger his dialogue to finish cook's assistant.

(Talk to Father Aerek in front of church if u want to do Restless Ghost afterwards)

Next, run over to the cow pen near Fred the Farmer in Lumbridge. Stand next to the gate and go through, then start Sheep Shearer. Accept the quest and get 3 wool. Talk to him after to complete the quest.

After that, you'll want to city teleport to Draynor Village and head over to Morgan's house to start Vampire slayer.
Next, city teleport to Varrock. Talk to Romeo in the centre of the city and then head over to Juliet's house. Take the letter back to Romeo and head over to the south of Varrock. Talk to Dr Harlow in the pub and choose the Quest option to take a swig with him. He'll gladly give you a stake. Now you'll want to run south and go east to the mining spot to take a cadava berry. Once you have a Cadava berry, teleport to Varrock centre again.
Head over to the Apothecary and talk to him to receive the potion. Talk to Romeo to complete the quest.

Lastly, we're going to want to return to Draynor Village. Head over to Draynor Mansion and talk to Veronica to start Ernest the chicken. Spamclick some dead trees that trigger the dialogue until you get an oil can from it.
Now head west inside the garden and combine the fish food & the poison and search the fountain from the north to get the pressure gauge.
Run north and search the compost heap to receive the final item, a rubber tube. Head back to the entrance and talk to Veronica to complete the quest.

Head in the mansion to complete our final quest. Stand right next to doors and open to pass through them at the moment, then head down the stairs. Click the coffin and one bang the vampire to complete Vampire Slayer.

Restless Ghost and Imp Catcher
If you didn't start Restless Ghost in Lumbridge, go tp to Lumbridge and talk to father Aerek to start the quest.
Do both quests by teleporting to Draynor village. Head over to the Wizard tower and slay imps on the bridge until you have the 4 beads.
Once you have the 4 beads, head over to Mizgog to talk & complete imp catcher.

Now click on the door of the tower to receive the ghosts' skull and teleport to Lumbridge.
Head over to the graveyard at the church and talk to the ghost to complete your quest!

Skilling / Daily bonuses - An overview
« on: June 15, 2021, 10:29:30 AM »
Hello hello!

To make it easier to find some stuff in one place, I've decided to make some basic topics regarding the server for newcomers.

Beneath you can find what bonuses there are each day and why/how you can benefit from them.

Monday - Double skillpoints
Every skill per action has a chance of getting you some skillpoints, on Monday we get them double the amount. Don't forget to have your hellcat out as they increase the points even more!

Some fast skilling activities:
- Clean herbs (you can spam click)
- Do your crafting by cutting gems
- Cook
- Wintertodt

Tuesday - Double slayer points
Pretty straight forward. Today you get double slay points from completing tasks. Perfect day to grind slayer.
Point whoring? Try this:
- 9 tasks Turael, 10th task wildy/duradel/konar(boss)

Wednesday - Double minigame points
Every minigame that works with points now gives double points. VERY interesting day to finally grind out your void in a group or do some NMZ for those sweet imbued items.

Thursday - Server increased drop rate
On Thursday everyone has +5% droprate, making bossing very appealing on Thursday. You can try your luck at revs and get lucky on a pvp item as well ;)

Friday, Saturday, Sunday - Double experience weekend.
Why are you reading this? Go start grinding these levels to prestige!

Alpha tip: use all your lamps and tomes during weekend times, combined with a well of goodwill (double exp as well), bonus hotspot area (+0.75% XP) and XP book (+0.35% XP)

Skilling / Maxing 101
« on: June 02, 2021, 02:46:02 AM »
Alright - very simple and compact maxing guide, will make more in-depth skilling guides later. This might help a lot of people stuck on different skills, I'll highlight stuff I'd lamp.

Daily stuff reminder:
1. Miscellania
2. Voting for lamp and unlocks
3. Check your boost of the day and play accordingly
4. Enjoy Aurelius' features :)

Remember, by 'Maxing 101' I mean prestiging asap and the methods to do so. Some things to keep in mind:
- Meteor for skilling boxes 99% of the time - these boxes almost always give exp lamps or tomes. I'm highlighting stuff I'd lamp in red, toming in orange.

- Keep your eye out on hotspots, these will come in handy when getting your shitty skills up and/or bankstand skills. Hotspots currently give +75% exp, so very worth tping to every 45 min.

- You'll probably spend a lot of skilling and loyalty points towards exp. Don't follow the lamps recommendation when you want other stuff. - Exception to this is your skilling outfits at the start that you buy with loyalty points

- Do your quests as they are an easy starting point and I'll often skip these levels under here. E.g. you get like 59 mage from imp catcher without dxp weekend, so you can just alch your way to bursting.

Melee: get your slayer up whilst training melee. General good ways to get some slayer points for gear unlocks like d def etc:
- Turael first 9 tasks, do a wildy/your highest master you prefer
- Wildy all tasks for PKP and emblems
- Duo slayer tends to give a lot of slayer exp

Ranged: Semi-AFK this at NMZ with a msb and arrows you receive from Miscellania etc

Magic: Imp catcher -> Alch till burst -> wait for Kourend catacombs hotspot and burst your way to 99 on things that clutter. I recommend melee pray for this.

Prayer: Few options here. I really recommend going for 43 pray asap as they unlock your way to afking some higher tier slayer tasks, after that just get some dbones ready for DXP weekend and do one of these:
- Ectofuntus on Skilling TP: grants chance to not use a bone like chaos altar.
- Wildy altar: same function as Ecto but grants more exp. Not recommended if you don't have a Lv30 wild tp
- Dzone altar: Great exp, but doesn't save bones. Do this if you have plenty of bones and cba having to tp.

Slayer: Get some slayer up whilst doing combat training, after you 99 no reason to stay doing cb. Save up a bit of tomes and use these in weekend+well+hotspot for juicy drops

General disclaimer to unlock your respective outfits with loyalty points (claim your loyalty chests and just play, 99's give LP too). They boost your gains by A LOT.

Skills you'll love

Woodcutting & FM: Chop some logs up until you can do Wintertodt at 50 fm (not sure if there's even a level req here) and do Wintertodt. Win 2 games and you're 99 on both. Congrats.

Buy me sir

Crafting: Buy gems in shop and sell them afterwards, you don't lose a lot of gp on this. Alternatively, you can make money with crafting and alching bstaves. General consensus: do crafting in hotspots and during weekend or skilling points day. Dstones to 99. If bored of buying - lamp when possible.

Plenty of skills are tomeable when you're bored, but in general I recommend toming agility

Agility: Please tome this. Alternatively you can spend time on your best course but I'd recommend saving up tomes from skilling mboxes and using these in weekend+well+hotspot (the golden trio).

Mining: Pretty afk on here. You can do mining if you semi afk stuff, remember to keep doing your highest ore as these give most exp and speed is pretty similar. When you're bored or you want to max, save some tomes for mining as well.
You can also wait for mining guild hotspot and go there. Dropmine there for max exp gains, you don't stop mining when you drop

Fishing: You can actually fully afk fishing at karambwanji's but it's slow as hell. Other options is to hotspot fishing guild your fishing.
1-20 net for shrimp and anchovies
20-30 fly fish trout and salmon
30-62 harpoon tuna and swordfish (you'll thank me you skip lobsters when you cook tuna :) )
62-99 Monkfish
Afk: ?-99 Net karambwanji
Tomes: when you're sick of afking and want to max and have some tomes leftover. Pretty chill skill.

Thieving: I don't recommend toming thieving. Just do your stalls. Start at pickpocketing men at home, then follow the stall order next to the bank at home.

FM & WC: Don't tome these please. You can get them 99 in 15 minutes.

Lamp alert

Smithing (make knives from bars you get from Miscellania - boxes - ...)

Wait for weekend, not necessarily lamping
Hunter: Really nice skill when you hit level req for herbiboar. Before the weekend, get your hunter to 80.
At level 1 go get a bird snare and go east of Lands End's bank for Crimson swifts.
Do birdhouses next every 10 min, you get a notification ingame whenever theyre ready. You can do this between slay tasks for example

Farming: Pretty nice skill exp-wise when you have the farmers outfit, just do highest as possible herbs (and trees?) to 99. You can do your round easily in time until first one grows ready. Talk to Master farmer at Camelot to start your TP round.

Herblore: Nice skill when you prep the weekend with unf pots and their secondaries. I recommend using the herbs you farmed first. Torsols for zammy brews.

Cooking: Before cooking gauntlets you'll probably end up lamping cooking (I know right, who would've said that ever) but you need to keep cooking until stuff can't get burnt. Monkfish is at 90 cooking. Good luck soldier.

Fletching: Just hope you'll have mage & yew logs from misc etc., otherwise you'll have to wc a bit. Save bow strings if you ever get these as skill mbox reward for magic longs.
